About Us

Our practice of experienced, registered clinical psychologists provides assessment and treatment for adults, children, adolescents, couples and families utilising a broad range of recognised psychological therapies.

Psychological therapy is a partnership between an individual and a professional such as a psychologist who is trained to help people understand their feelings and assist them with changing their behaviour.

When appropriate, and in consultation with you, we collaborate closely with other health professionals and can arrange their input if required.

How much does it cost to see a clinical psychologist?

Clinical psychologists working in private practice charge fees, and this includes appointments at the Bealey Centre.  While public health services in NZ are free to residents, these unfortunately often involve long waiting lists and do not provide help for every type of psychological problem.

Sources of help with fees may come from an Employee Assistance Programme, your employer, ACC, WINZ or your insurance company. Please talk with us if you think you may be eligible for a subsidy or help with fees.

Bealey Centre fees range from $150.00  to $190.00, including GST. This is usually for a 50-minute session.  Written reports or letters are likely to incur an additional cost. You are welcome to discuss fees with us.

We are registered under the Psychologists Act, so our work is governed by the New Zealand Psychologists BoardClinical psychologists are bound by ethical guidelines that generally prevent them telling any third person what you have said to them without your consent although there are some exceptions to this rule.

Rooms available for use by other clinicians
