Clinical Psychologist

Corina has worked as a clinical psychologist for over 30 years, including 17 years at the CDHB and the rest in private practice. She enjoys the process of working with people and collaborating with them as they change their lives.

Corina has completed a 3-year Advanced course in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), after the 3 year Core Training, and uses these techniques with the majority of her clients. Please note this work will often involve videoing of sessions (with permission). She also has training in

  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which focuses on changes in dysfunctional cognitions which influence emotions and behaviour;
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasises committing to living in line with oneʼs values and not being caught up in short-term strategies which can have adverse outcomes;
  • Schema Therapy, which looks at how maladaptive patterns create problems and how to change them.

She does not do diagnostic or third party reports, nor take on any new ACC clients.
